October 13th is a Saturday this time but better then than never. The weather should be even cooler and Norwalk has always had great track prep when I've been so I'd say some new record ET's are to be had if some of the big names can still make it.
There might be a chance for some slower cars to win as well as I suspect not everyone will make it, might give some of us a shot in DSE?
Hope to see everyone there and remember DON'T EAT AT the NORWALK ARBYS!

I won't be making it back unfortunately. We blew $700 and had a free hotel room. But, your right about being able to win with a smaller field. Someone needs to bring their video camera and be the eyes and ears for all of us who can't make it back.

You could always grab a ride with someone else out of Louisville. That and you've got over a month to get that head fixed and put back on, I'd say it's do-able

I've got Friday off and my current plan is to get an rotate/balance and alignment done on the Laser early Friday morning and then drive up afterwards.
I think Bill is coming up later that night but will be leaving way before 9pm. It's about a 5-6 hour drive so plan that accordingly.
I've also decided to stay Saturday night as well just down 250 towards I-71. Should make for a better night without having to drive back.

Good call, too bad I don't own a video camera. I guess I should get one of those one day. Hopefully Bill will have his and we can get some good footage.
I'll be taking lots of still photos. We can put those up on the TV and browse through them as well.

I'm sure I'll be free to video tape. I think the DSE class is still going to be too fast for me to compete in from some of the guys I've seen going. Although I'll wait and make my final decision once I'm up there.

Good times were had but I didn't see Shane or Nick? Did you guys make it up?
I didn't figure it'd be hard to find u2slow's Conquest but no one came up and introduced themselves. Perhaps we were the only ones from the board at the shootout.
I've got some pics but not sure when I'll be able to upload them. I'll try to get them up as soon as I can.

It was cold! Had fun anyway
The Conquest was doing good. I qualified in #3 spot with a 8.99. The AMS EVO was #2 with a 8.94. There was a bad ass FWD from Canada in #1 spot with a 8.84.
The cold weather made the track a little slick. Cars were breaking left and right.......and it happened to me in the semi-final when a nitrous solenoid decided to quit working, allowing the luckiest man at the track to run right past me! He went on to win against the #1 qualifier when he broke in the burnout box.
The winner was a 4g63 Colt that qualified #15 with a 11.17.
I`ll put up some video when I get time.
