It will be the same setup as this past shootout,

Gates Open at 8

TNT starts at 10

Racing at 12noon- 1pm till 6pm

If we want this to happen this is the date, tried for November could not get it to work.

let's get it guys.
It is going to be 40$ again to race at the gate,10$ spectator fee no matter what.
The rules will be preliminary set up just like last year.

The rules are all the same as last year which is:
Format:

Brackets will be split up into four classes.
1) Cars running 11.99 and faster
2) Cars running 12.00 to 13.99
3) Cars running 14.00 and slower
4) Trucks (can also enter above)
5) (Truck class will be divided, a diesel and a gasser class if enough show up to allow)
6) Heads Up Truck and Cars if enough time allows.(KING OF THE STREETS HEADS UP PRO TREE)

There will be an overall bracket winner race also consisting of two rounds. Class 2 & 3 will race each other and the winner will race class 1 to determine overall bracket winner.

Class 1 will stage in rows 1 & 2. Class 2 will stage in rows 3 & 4. Class 6 will stage in rows 5 & 6. TnT/Grudge will line up in rows 7 & 8.
Lane choice will be determined by drawing of cards.
Standard tree will be used for bracket racing and Pro Tree for grudge/tnt.
Single eliminations and NO BUYBACKS.


It will be the driver's responsibility to take his timeslip to the tower if he is in contention for one of the 'Fastest' awards. This will help us keep track of who gets the award and will keep everyone honest.


General Rules:
No unsafe conduct will be tolerated.
No parking in staging area.
All host's track rules apply.
Race gas is permitted.
Only approved track personnel are allowed in the staging lanes.
TIRES:11.5 inches wide slick(measured)
28.0 Tall slick
Unlimited Drag Radials
Unlimited Street Radials



Transmissions:
All commercially avalible transmissions avalible,for example:TH 200,350,400,Powerglides tremics,getrags etc,etc are OK.But.......No Trans brakes allowed must use your foot brake or whatever one would use to release brake preasure.(UNLESS YOUR ARE RUNNING QUICK 8 ONLY).

Weight:
All Motors under 150 Cubic Inches Have an Unlimited weight brake.
All Motors between 151 and 408 Cubic inches must weigh at least 2800 lbs
All Motors between 409 and 572 Cubic Inches must weigh at least 3300 lbs
Max Cubic Inch is 572
Note: All motors must run water/coolent threw the motor and heads........No filled blocks

Apearance: Must have full glass windows(No lexan)
Must have Head and tail Lights in working condition
Must have a factory dash and carpet(No sheet metal dash)
Must have a current tag and Licience

Chasis:
Any full chasis/ unibody car/truck...ok
No tube frame chasis
No Back halfed chasis
No Wheelie bars

Fuel:
Any leaded/unleaded Gasoline OK
Alcohol,Methanol,Nitro not OK


Some of the rules are confusing. I might go to watch but I'm not big on bracket racing.

I agree. There is a test n' tune that Friday night, Oct 26th, which I might try to make. I think I need to try and run the car at least once before the last Car Wars as I haven't had a chance to tune it with the new exhaust manifold and ignition on it.

definitely. I'm gonna be there with raised boost, my new clutch, trying to get into the 11's on 93 oct.

I'm just hoping some colder temps, better clutch, fixed boost leaks, better driving, and a few more lbs of boost will get me there. rock
